Feeding-Swallowing Evaluation & Therapy
At Andersen Pediatric Feeding & Swallowing, comprehensive appointments are designed to provide a thorough evaluation of your child's needs. We will begin with a detailed review of your child's birth history, medical & surgical history, and previous feeding experiences. Your child’s history, will guide the feeding assessment including assessment of oral structures and skills.If further referrals or medical evaluations are required, we will work closely with your child's pediatrician or other medical specialists as necessary. Through this collaborative approach, we will develop an individualized plan that focuses on your child's unique needs. A written summary of recommendations will be provided, and report can be sent to your child’s doctor. *Practical notes: It is important to schedule visits at a time that aligns with your child’s typical feeding times. Respiratory Retraining for Vocal Cord Dysfunction
Has your child been diagnosed with Vocal Cord Dysfunction (VCD), Exercise Induced Laryngeal Obstruction (EILO) or Paradoxical Vocal Fold Movement (PVFM)? These terms describe the same respiratory problem. PVFM happens when the vocal folds close when they should open. This can make it hard to breathe. PVFM does not happen all the time and is often ‘triggered’ by experiences such as exercise, acid reflux, breathing in cold air, smoke or pollen, or stress. Following diagnosis, respiratory retraining with a skilled SLP is the hallmark treatment for this breathing challenge with many names. Patients typically find relief and ‘gain control’ over this difficulty with the right type of intervention from a knowledgeable provider! In-Home, In-Office, & Virtual Visits Available

Infant Massage Session
Neonatal massage techniques improve sleep, increase comfort, support growth, and promote optimal neurodevelopmental outcomes for your little one. Massage increases maturation and regulation of the respiratory, cardiac, nervous, GI and musculoskeletal systems. Parents will confidently learn to provide infant massage aligning with baby's cues and needs. Families can integrate massage into their baby's daily routine to support bonding, growth, regulation, & sleep. We will embark on this gentle journey to strengthen the parent-child connection while nurturing your baby's development. This is a unique gift for new parents! Yoga Integrated Therapy
Individuals of all ages and abilities can benefit from yoga practice, including children with neurological and/or developmental challenges. This visit is for a private yoga integrated therapy session targeting your child’s therapy goals (communication, voice, feeding). Sensory, motor, and developmental adaptations are provided as needed. There are many benefits to yoga and NDT (neuro developmental treatment) techniques and philosophy when incorporated into the daily routine. The “Developmental Bundle” includes 5 personalized visits across the first 2 years of life.
